What is ACIPHEX?
ACIPHEX is a medicine called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) or an acid pump inhibitor. This means it reduces the amount of acid that is made by your stomach.

ACIPHEX 20 mg tablets are used in adults:
  • For the short-term (4 to 8 weeks) treatment in the healing and symptom relief of damaging (erosive) gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • To maintain the healing of damage (erosions) and relief of heartburn symptoms with GERD. ACIPHEX has not been studied for treatment lasting longer than 12 months (1 year)
  • For the treatment of daytime and nighttime heartburn and other symptoms that happen with GERD

Remember to take ACIPHEX as prescribed by your doctor
ACIPHEX is proven to help manage the effects of acid reflux disease by helping your body help itself. ACIPHEX helps to keep the burn out of your esophagus. In fact, clinical studies have shown that many people experienced complete heartburn relief, day and night, when taking ACIPHEX daily.

ACIPHEX may be right for you
If you experience heartburn 2 or more days a week, despite diet and lifestyle changes, ask your doctor if ACIPHEX is right for you. Like other PPIs, ACIPHEX goes straight to the source—the acid-producing cells that line your stomach. It works to decrease acid production, which helps reduce the amount of acid in your stomach, so that if it does back up into your esophagus, it’s less harmful.

Complete relief
Many people with acid reflux disease have experienced complete heartburn relief, day and night, when taking ACIPHEX daily as prescribed. ACIPHEX has also been shown to help treat a number of other acid reflux disease-related symptoms, including regurgitation, belching, and early satiety (feeling full too soon).
